This is why Facebook ads are just amplifying your problem…

In my business, I get a ton of people who come to me and want me to run ads for their funnel.

9 times out of 10 they haven’t sold the offer organically, haven’t done any research, and don’t have an audience to sell to.

I’m going to be real with you and tell you — using Facebook ads to sell that product won’t work.

There are a few good reasons why.

#1 — You don’t have any data. You don’t know who your ideal client is or what they really want or need.

#2 — You have no audience to marketing this to, organically or through ads. Without an audience, you’re going to end up paying to send it to a million or more people who may or may not be interested, and who don’t know your business.

#3 — You have no idea if this is right for your ideal client. If you haven’t done any research, you risk the chance that not one person buys your product or service because it’s not what they need.

Don’t get me wrong, Facebook ads are a great way of selling a product, as long as you already have a warm audience who are interested in buying from your business.

If you don’t, ads are just going to amplify the problems that you’re having in your funnel.

More often than not, if something isn’t selling through ads, it’s because it’s not what your ideal client wants.

When you take the time to sell your offer organically first, you’ll be able to know if it’ll sell through a funnel.

The best thing that you can do when you run ads is run them to a warm traffic audience.

If you’re expecting to start running ads without one, you’re going to have a much higher cost per lead because your ad is running to people who don’t already know, like, and trust your business.

You’re literally just guessing about who the ideal client is at that point!

Everyone wants the lowest cost per lead, but this doesn’t necessarily have the highest ROI.

Using a warm audience can help keep the cost per lead somewhat low but also give you more sales and more customers overall.

When you go to launch, you’ll have people that you can actually launch to!

Building a warm audience can be priceless for your business.

There are a lot of great ways that you can grow this warm audience organically without doing a ton of work.

I would contend that it’s not much different than the days before Facebook ads existed.

I would suggest that if you have no warm audience, it’s time for you to start posting in groups and reaching out to engage with other people.

I’ve been able to track $300,000 worth of sales from posting in one Facebook group back in 2014.

You might find that it’s a better ROI to invest your time because the people who are going through your funnel organically are way more likely to be your ideal client than if you’re doing a mass ad to 1 million people in a cold audience.

Another great way of collecting data is by investing in your funnel. If you want to speed up the process of figuring out where the holes are in your funnel, running ads is a great way to do so.

Marketing is a long game, not a short one. I have people that I haven’t talked to in years come to me and ask for marketing and business help.

It’s important to understand that building a warm audience is an investment in your business.
